I was wondering if you had any suggestions on converting a Zune playlist (I use that as my primary music player) into an itunes playlist. I have all of my 65 or so GB music on my zune, but only want a select few playlists on my iphone.. Any ideas?

Wonderful post. Works as a charm.

I faced one issue but that was related to my Vista machine. The converter wasn't able to write the .zpl file in the location that you had mentioned (C:UsersUserNameMusicZunePlaylists) since the folder was read-only. Tried to remove that read-only attribute but wasn't successful. So I had your converter save the .zpl file to the desktop and I manually moved the file to the above mentioned location. Zune software immediately picked up the playlist and songs.

Thanks again,

the converter is reversing backslashes which makes some songs unrecognizable in Zune... here is an example of a correct line and a non-correct line in the ZPL

Thanks, Jon, I have just downloaded it and tried it out. It seems to be working perfect now. Thanks again for making a useful little app even better!

Thanks for the tip David, I went and fixed the code tonight. If you re-download the application, your problem should be fixed.

Jon,

Your Itunes-to-Zunes converter is great! I have found it quite usefull. However, I think I have found a small bug. It does not clear the previous job or something so that when you want to convert more than one playlist the 2nd and 3rd etc etc playlists are not converted correctly. They seem to inherit some songs from the first list you converted. The work-around I am using is to restart the app for every playlist I convert. I hope I made sense. e-mail me if you wuold like to talk about this further.

Regards,

David F.
