I have both Xbox’s configured using static DHCP. Both connect to live however one shows Strict. The router see’s both connections:

DHCP Clients
Host Name IP Address MAC Address Client Lease Time
curtisXBOX 192.168.1.xxx 00:22:48:4B:xx:xx Static
PetesXBOX 192.168.1.xxx 00:17:FA:B0:xx:xx Static

The uPNP tab only shows the first xbox:
Xbox (192.168.1.135:3074) 3074 UDP Yes 3074 3074 192.168.1.135 UDP

Why is uPNP only working with one xbox? I am running Firmware: DD-WRT v24 (05/24/08) micro

Johann, I’m not overly technical, but I believe 3074 is only going to be forwarded to 1 Xbox. It shouldn’t show up on the 2nd Xbox. Also, you shouldn’t have port forwarding/triggering settings anymore — you don’t need them.

When both of my Xboxes are running I get the following on upnp:

192.168.1.40 UDP Xbox (192.168.1.40:3074) 3074 UDP

192.168.1.41 UDP Xbox (192.168.1.41:20602) 20602 UDP

I can’t thank this site enough. I tried one set of instructions after another and this way the ONLY way to get NAT open on 2 consoles with this router. Thanks Jake!

finished configuring both.. seems like theres no nat problem.

is this right though? xbox 2 doesnt seem to get 3074 forwarded as of dd-wrts upnp

my brother just got a new xbox and now there will be 2 at home.

i get that i have to put the mac address on my router (been running ddwrt since way back)… but do i still do port forwarding on the router or do i take that all out?

also, with your walkthrough… what settings do i put on the consoles themselves? just attain ip automatically?

Thank you so much for these instructions – this has ended literally years of being unable to have Open NAT connections on the three Xbox 360s at our house. All three now show Open using this method!

Like I said, my roommate currently has repair #4 going with Microsoft and is hoping for a decent result this time. I’m also on box 4, but definitely ran into issues reading discs during games. My solution was to trade out consoles at EB until they stopped with the $50 warranty. If Microsoft knows you’ve been running into dirty disc errors, they’ll replace the DVD drive. Best of luck with your repaired unit though!

I just had my Xbox 360 repaired by Microsoft’s repair center as well. I haven’t received the box yet, but it was serviced because of an unplayable disc error. I’m hoping my 360 doesn’t sound like a wind tunnel, but I was wondering if you had the same problem.
